| Opis rewersu | Two incuse square punches of differing sizes occupy the reverse, a hallmark of early Archaic coinage technique. The larger central punch displays a rough, irregular surface divided by raised ridges into a mill-sail or quadripartite pattern, while a smaller subsidiary square punch with a similar cross-hatched incuse pattern is positioned to the left. The incuse impressions are characteristic of the primitive punch-and-anvil striking method employed at Kyme during the late 6th century BC. No legend is present. The surrounding flan surface is broad and unworked. |
