| Obverse description | Pegasos in flight to the left, with large detailed wings spread upward and forward, forelegs raised and hind legs extended in a galloping posture. The winged horse is rendered in the vigorous Corinthian-influenced style typical of Akarnanian coinage of the late Classical period. A small letter AN appears in the lower left field beneath the creature, serving as the civic identifier of Anaktorion. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with a raised rim encircling the design. |
