Obverse description A cow standing to the right in profile, suckling a calf beneath her. The calf is depicted facing left, nursing from the cow's udder, its head turned upward. Both animals are rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail, displaying well-articulated musculature and hooves. The composition occupies the full field of the flan, consistent with the characteristic bovine type of the Dyrrachion coinage.
