The cheek-guards of the helmet are raised, revealing the goddess's finely modelled facial features. | Aanvullende informatie |
Anaktorion, a Corinthian colony on the Ambracian Gulf, shared its coinage tradition so closely with the mother city that attribution of individual staters sometimes required die-linking studies to settle the question. The Pegasi series catalogued by Fischer-Bossert remains the definitive reference for separating Anaktorian issues from the broader Pegasos-bearing coinage of northwest Greece, and BCD 83 is among the more securely attributed pieces in that corpus.
