| 裏面の説明 | Helmeted head of Athena facing left in fine classical style, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on her head to reveal her face; the helmet bowl is rendered in crisp detail with a prominent cheekpiece and neck guard. Flowing locks of hair emerge beneath the helmet. Behind the head appears the letter epsilon (E) as a control symbol, accompanied by a dove also positioned behind the head, both serving as secondary control marks identifying this emission within the Corinthian series. The overall style reflects the accomplished die-cutting of the mid-fourth century BC Corinthian mint. |
