| 正面描述 | Pegasos, the winged horse of Corinthian iconography, depicted in full flight to the left with wings fully spread and forelegs extended. The finely detailed musculature and feathering of the wings reflect the accomplished die-cutting of the Corinthian mint during this period. The koppa (Ϙ), an archaic Greek letter serving as the initial of Korinth, appears below the body of Pegasos in the lower field. The design is rendered in high relief against a plain, slightly irregular flan typical of hammered coinage of the early fourth century BC. |
