The flan is irregularly rounded with a slightly faceted rim, consistent with the hammered production technique employed by the Cotini. The absence of any legend or iconographic device reflects the highly abstract monetary tradition of this Celtic group. |

The interior surface is plain and undecorated, with a rough, granular texture resulting from the hammering process. This characteristic concave reverse is typical of Celtic rainbow cup staters and served as the functional result of the domed obverse die striking. |
