| Obverse description | Winged female figure depicted facing, rendered in the archaic style characteristic of early Karian coinage. The figure displays broad, outstretched wings spread symmetrically to either side, with finely engraved feather detail rendered in sharp relief. She wears a crested helmet and her lower body terminates in avian legs with talons, identifying her as a winged goddess or Nike-type deity. The composition is centered within the broad, irregularly shaped flan, with the figure occupying the full field. The bold, vigorous engraving reflects the archaic Greek artistic tradition of the early fifth century BC. |

| Reverse description | Incuse square of irregular form, deeply recessed into the flan, divided into compartments by raised ridges creating a mill-sail or quadripartite pattern. Within the incuse, a prominent raised triangular or trapezoidal element occupies the central field, characteristic of the early archaic incuse technique employed at Kaunos. The surface of the incuse is rough and granular, consistent with the archaic hammered fabric of the period. No legend or additional device is present. This type of reverse is typical of early Karian civic issues of the late sixth to early fifth century BC. |
