Obverse description Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, depicted facing, with characteristic curved cutouts on either side forming the distinctive concave notches of the traditional Boeotian pelta form. The convex boss of the shield dominates the field, with finely incised rim detail visible around the perimeter. The flan is irregular in shape, typical of hand-struck ancient Greek coinage of this period.
