Obverse description Prow of a galley (trireme) oriented to the right, depicted in detailed relief with a prominent aphlaston (stern ornament) and oar-bank visible along the hull. Above the prow, a helmeted male head faces right, rendered in a compact archaic style characteristic of Lycian civic coinage of the fourth century BC. The design occupies the full flan, with no surrounding legend on this side. The surfaces show the irregular, slightly concave fabric typical of hammered silver staters of the region.
