Obverse description Pegasos in left profile, depicted as a bridled horse with large, outstretched wings, prancing with forelegs raised; a small koppa (Ϙ), the civic symbol of Corinth, appears beneath the body in the lower field. The figure is rendered in high relief with fine attention to musculature and feather detail, consistent with the accomplished die-cutting tradition of the Corinthian mint during the early fourth century BC.

Reverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head and adorned with a serpent on the bowl; long wavy locks of hair fall behind the neck onto the shoulder, and a small Corinthian symbol appears in the right field. The portrait is executed in the characteristic Corinthian style of the early fourth century BC, combining bold, sculptural modelling of the helmet with refined treatment of the facial features.
