Obverse description Winged male deity, bearded, depicted in the archaic kneeling-running posture (knielauf) to right, with spread wings fully rendered. The figure holds a solar disc with both hands extended before him, the composition reflecting strong Syro-Phoenician artistic influence characteristic of Cilician coinage of the late fifth century BC. The relief is bold and well-executed within the irregular flan.
