| Obverse description | Pegasos in full flight to the left, rendered with finely detailed musculature and outstretched wings, the curly mane and raised foreleg characteristic of the Corinthian stater tradition. Beneath the body, the archaic Greek letter koppa (Ϙ) or the city letter appears as a mint control mark in the lower field. The flan is of irregular round form, typical of hand-struck Akarnanian coinage of this period, with a plain, slightly raised border. |
