| Obverse description | A marine tortoise (Caretta caretta) depicted in high relief at center, rendered in a naturalistic yet archaic style, viewed from above with the domed carapace prominently modeled with a segmented pattern. The head protrudes at the top and the four flippers extend symmetrically to either side. The design is set within a slightly raised circular border, with the flan exhibiting the characteristic irregular, globular fabric of early Aeginetan coinage. |

| Reverse description | A large incuse square divided into five compartments by a skewed mill-sail or swastika-pattern incuse punch, characteristic of the archaic Aeginetan coinage. The central and surrounding rectangular recesses are deeply cut and unevenly finished, reflecting the hand-struck hammered technique. The incuse pattern, known as the 'skew pattern,' fills the entire reverse field without any inscription or additional device. |
