| Obverse description | Forepart of a lion advancing to the left, rendered in bold archaic style with pronounced mane depicted by ridged striations along the neck and spine. The lion's open jaws reveal a protruding tongue, and the eye is rendered in characteristic Archaic convention. A circular device, identified as the letter omicron (O), is placed on the shoulder of the animal. The flan is broad and irregularly shaped, with the design occupying the majority of the coin's surface. |
