Reverse description Aphrodite enthroned in left profile, her figure draped in the Hellenistic manner, extending her right hand to receive a wreath from Nike, who stands upon the goddess's hand and crowns her with both raised arms. Aphrodite cradles a lotus-tipped scepter in her left arm. A myrtle bud appears to the left of the central group as a secondary device. The ethnic legend ΑΜΑΣΤΡΙEΩN is inscribed in the field, identifying the issuing city of Amastris in Paphlagonia.
