The mane is rendered in detailed relief with carefully engraved scalloped or beaded lines conveying a rich, textured appearance. The animal's musculature and raised forepaw are boldly modeled in the prevailing Archaic Greek style. The inscription OVA appears in the field, likely a civic or dynastic abbreviation. The flan is broad and irregular, typical of western Anatolian coinage of circa 500 BC. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Deep quadripartite incuse square divided into four irregular compartments by raised ridges, producing a rough mill-sail or windmill pattern within the sunken punch. The incuse is boldly struck and asymmetric, reflecting the early experimental phase of Carian civic coinage. The raised borders of the incuse square are clearly defined against the broader flat field of the flan. The surface of the compartments retains tool marks from the punch, consistent with archaic hammered technique. No legend or additional device is present on the reverse. |
