Obverse description Pegasus in full flight to the left, rendered with outstretched wings and forelegs extended in a dynamic galloping posture. The winged horse is depicted with fine engraved detail on the wings and musculature, characteristic of the Corinthian die-cutting tradition. Below the body of Pegasus appears the archaic Greek letter koppa (Ϙ), serving as a civic control mark identifying the mint of Corinth. The composition fills the broad, slightly irregular flan with confident, high-relief workmanship.
