The animal's beard, horn, and musculature are finely detailed, reflecting the accomplished die-cutting tradition of Cilician mints. Above the goat's back, a circular incuse containing the monogram of Alpha (Α) serves as a control symbol. The ethnic legend ΚΕΛΕΝ appears in Greek characters in the upper field, identifying the issuing city of Kelenderis. A dotted ground line runs beneath the goat, delineating the exergual border. |
