Reverse description Deeply recessed incuse square punch divided into two rectangular compartments by a central raised bar, a hallmark of the early electrum coinage of Ephesos. The incuse field shows a rough, striated texture resulting from the hammered technique applied to the blank flan. No figural design or inscription is present on the reverse, consistent with archaic Ionian minting practice of the late 7th to early 6th century BC. The irregular outline of the flan is clearly visible around the punch.
