| Obverse description | Forepart of a stag kneeling to the right in high relief, its head turned back to face the viewer, rendered in a naturalistic Archaic Greek style. A small dog or hound appears in the lower field, running or crouching beneath the stag. The surface displays the characteristic warm golden-silver hue of electrum, with flan striations visible in the field. The design occupies the full irregular flan, typical of the earliest electrum coinage of Ionia. No inscription or legend is present. |
