背面描述	Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet with a large rounded bowl and an elaborately decorated crest bearing a figure in relief on the upper surface; wavy locks of hair escape beneath the helmet nape. The head is rendered in high relief with fine facial modeling typical of early Classical Greek die-engraving. The ethnic letter Alpha (Α) appears to the left of the neck, serving as the initial identifier of the issuing city of Ambracia.
