| Obverse description | Facing left, the idealized head of Hera is rendered in fine Classical Greek style, her hair elaborately dressed and bound by an ornamented stephanos decorated with scroll and floral motifs. The goddess's features are serene and finely modeled, with delicate relief typical of Elean coinage of the mid-4th century BC. The letters F (digamma) and A appear flanking the neck, serving as ethnic or magistrate initials. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with the design occupying the full field. |

| Reverse description | An eagle stands in left profile with wings tightly folded against its body, rendered with meticulous attention to feather detail across the wing coverts and tail. The bird is perched within a wreath of olive or laurel branches whose sinuous boughs frame the entire field in high relief. The eagle, sacred to Zeus and closely associated with the sanctuary at Olympia, is depicted in a static, heraldic pose befitting the religious authority of the issuing sanctuary. The flan edges are irregular, consistent with hand-struck coinage of the period. The field is smooth and unlettered. |
