Reverse description The reverse features a central raised circular medallion bearing the Hebrew inscription "Masada shall not fall again" in interlocking stylized lettering reminiscent of fortress towers. Surrounding the central device, the English legend "MASADA SHALL NOT FALL AGAIN" is inscribed in a circular band, and the entire rim is encircled by a continuous frieze of dynamic figures in relief depicting armed soldiers and participants in the excavation and restoration of Masada.
