Obverse description On the right side, a stylized olive branch. Within a rectangle with rounded corners, a palm tree, a man planting a sapling and a woman raising her child aloft, as portrayed in the Medal of Liberation. Round the rim, a legend: "Israel Free". On the left side the legend: "In memory of her warriors who fell in defense of her freedom. The Ministry of Defense".

Reverse description On the right side, a chain symbolizing bondage. Above, a copy of the Roman coin from the year 70 C.E. which symbolized the Roman Victory over Judea (Judaea Capta).
