Reverse description The central field depicts a boldly rendered relief of a seven-branched stone menorah (candelabrum), reproduced from an ancient original uncovered in a second-century C.E. synagogue at Tiberias. The branches are composed of stylized open pomegranates with recessed oil containers at their tips, and the base rests on a low pedestal against a plain field.
