Obverse description Frontal enthroned effigy of Prince Vladimir the Great, depicted in Byzantine imperial style, wearing a crown and princely robes. The ruler holds a long cross in his left hand, while to his right appears the Rurikid trident dynastic symbol (tamga), serving as a state emblem. A dotted border frames the design along the coin's irregular periphery. The overall style closely follows contemporary Byzantine coinage conventions, reflecting the recent Christianization of Kyivan Rus.
