Obverse description Crude imitation of a Sasanian royal bust in the style of Shapur III, facing right, with a highly stylized diademed and crenellated crown visible along the upper margin of the irregular square flan. The effigy is rendered in a debased, provincial manner characteristic of Kidarite copper coinage, with simplified facial features and degenerate drapery indicated by shallow incuse lines. The field is worn and heavily patinated, with the design elements compressed to fit the irregular flan. Remnants of a Pahlavi legend are discernible around the bust, though largely degenerate and partially off-flan.
