| Beschrijving voorzijde | Roughly square hammered flan bearing a multi-line Arabic religious inscription in Maghribi script, arranged within the central field without a formal border. The legends are struck in bold relief on an irregular planchet, characteristic of Wattasid hammered coinage. The script is deeply engraved but shows typical die-shift and weak areas due to the primitive striking technique. The overall appearance is consistent with the fractional square dirhams produced under Muhammad al-Shaykh during the late 15th century. |
