| Reverse description | Square hammered flan with a plain raised linear border. The central field presents a stylized lion passant or leonine figure in raised relief within a circular cartouche, rendered in the simplified, almost heraldic manner characteristic of late taifa-period Iberian Islamic coinage. Below the figure, vertical strokes of Arabic script are visible in the lower portion of the cartouche. The overall strike is irregular, consistent with hand-hammered production under the short-lived autonomous rule of Ibn Asli at Lorca. |
