Obverse description Central crowned rectangular shield bearing the crowned Norwegian lion passant holding a halberd and facing left, set against a vertically lined background. The denomination is divided on either side of the shield, with a descriptive value legend appearing above the crown. The shield is encircled by a wreath, and the date is divided by the mintmark below the wreath. A beaded border rings the inner rim.
