| Obverse description | Central device features the Cuban coat of arms: a shield divided into three sections depicting a rising sun over a seascape with a key in the upper portion, three diagonal blue and white stripes in the lower left, and a royal palm tree in the lower right. Surmounting the shield is a Phrygian cap atop a pike. The shield is flanked by a wreath composed of an oak branch to the left and an olive branch to the right, bound at the base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs around the upper field, while the fineness designation 900 and the word FINO appear in the lower field, separated by small five-pointed stars. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
