Obverse description Right-facing bust of Emperor Valentinian III, rendered in the late antique imperial style, adorned with a rosette diadem and wearing a paludamentum (military cloak) over cuirass. The effigy displays finely detailed hair swept back beneath the jewelled diadem, with pendilia visible at the ear. The draped and cuirassed portrait conveys both military authority and imperial dignity. The surrounding legend runs clockwise from the lower left, separated by a pellet-diademed break at the nape of the neck.
