| Popis líce | Right-facing bust of Emperor Valentinian II, pearl-diademed with pendilia visible behind the ear, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The emperor's youthful effigy is depicted with finely detailed hair arranged in rows of tight curls beneath the pearl diadem, and elaborate paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder with a jeweled fibula. The encircling Latin legend is divided by the bust and reads D N VALENTINIANVS P F AVG. A beaded border frames the entire design. |

| Popis rubu | Two nimbed emperors seated facing on a shared throne, each rendered frontally in the hieratic late antique style; the emperor to the right holds a mappa in his left hand while both jointly support a globe between them, symbolising shared imperial authority. A winged Victory stands behind and between the seated figures with wings outspread. Both emperors are depicted with the left leg bare. Mint officina letters appear in the fields to either side, and the palm branch of victory is placed below the throne. The exergue contains the comitatus mintmark COM, with the mint mark AQ flanking the reverse legend. |
