Reverse description Two nimbate emperors seated facing on a shared throne, each holding a mappa in the right hand and a short sceptre in the left; the emperor to the left raises his mappa in a gesture of acclamation. Captive figures are depicted between the letters in the exergue, symbolising Roman dominion over barbarian enemies. The mintmark S-N-I in the exergue identifies the Nicomedia mint, officina one. The reverse legend is divided across the field and exergue area in Latin capitals.
