| Beschrijving voorzijde | Frontal bust of the young emperor Theodosius II, helmeted with a plumed and jewelled helmet surmounted by a decorative crest, clad in elaborately detailed imperial military cuirass with pteruges visible at the shoulders. The emperor faces forward with a three-quarter turn, holding a spear over his right shoulder and a jewelled shield bearing a horseman motif on his left arm. Pendilia hang from the helmet on either side of the face. The encircling Latin legend reads D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG, identifying the ruler as Dominus Noster, Pious and Blessed Augustus. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Concordia stands facing, clad in military attire with a crested helmet, rendered in the late antique style characteristic of early fifth-century Constantinopolitan solidi. She holds a long staff or sceptre in her raised right hand and extends her left hand, from which hangs a mappa or long necklace of beads; a star appears in the left field. At her feet, a seated figure — likely a captive or kneeling supplicant — is depicted at lower left, reinforcing the imperial theme of harmony and victory. The exergue bears the mint mark CONOB, denoting the Constantinople mint producing gold of the highest standard (obryzum), while the officina letter appears between the legend and the exergue. The surrounding Latin legend reads CONCORDI-A AVGGG, proclaiming the concord of the three Augusti. |
