| Descrizione del dritto | Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Theodosius I facing right, rendered in fine relief characteristic of Constantinian and Theodosian workshop tradition. The emperor wears an elaborately decorated paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder, with visible scale or lorica segmentata detailing on the cuirass beneath. The hair is depicted in a stylized row of beaded curls swept back from the forehead, with additional braided locks descending behind the ear. The portrait displays the refined idealized likeness typical of late Roman imperial gold coinage. The encircling Latin legend reads D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, positioned from the lower left and continuing around the obverse field. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The personification of Concordia is depicted seated facing left upon an ornate high-backed throne, wearing a turreted crown and imperial robes. She raises her right hand in a gesture of acclamation or offering, while her left hand rests upon a long sceptre or staff. A globus (orb) symbolizing universal dominion is held or positioned at her side, reinforcing the imagery of imperial harmony and cosmic order. The legend CONCORDIA AVGGG arcs around the upper field, referring to the concordia of the three reigning Augusti. In the exergue, the mint mark CONOB identifies the issue as struck at the Constantinople mint in pure gold (obryzum), conforming to the Constantinian solidus standard. |
