| Reverse description | A helmeted and cuirassed soldier stands facing, head turned to the left, holding a labarum (Chi-Rho standard) in his right hand and resting his left hand upon a large round shield set on the ground; the composition evokes imperial military restoration and legitimacy. The figure is rendered in the late antique style typical of Constantinian and post-Constantinian solidi. The divided legend REPARATI-O FEL TEMP flanks the central figure on left and right, invoking the restoration of the Felician Times. The mint mark CONS appears in the exergue, identifying the Constantinople mint. |
