Reverse description The emperor Majorian stands facing, draped and cuirassed, his right foot placed upon the head of a human-headed serpent, symbolising the triumph over heresy or tyranny. In his raised right hand he holds a long cross, while his left hand presents a Victory standing upon a globe. The reverse legend is divided across the field, with the mint and officina marks appearing in the exergue.
