Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Magnus Maximus facing right, wearing a pearl diadem with rosette ornament. The emperor's portrait is rendered in the late Roman imperial style with fine detail in the hair and facial features. The paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder and visible beneath the cuirass. The encircling obverse legend reads D N MAG MAXIMVS P F AVG, distributed across both sides of the field.
