Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Libius Severus facing right, wearing a pearl diadem with pendilia and a richly decorated paludamentum fastened at the shoulder with a large fibula. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the late antique style characteristic of fifth-century Ravennate solidi, with stylized facial features and bold linear drapery folds. A circular beaded border frames the design. The Latin legend D N LIBIVS SEVERVS P F AVG (Dominus Noster Libius Severus Pius Felix Augustus) runs clockwise around the periphery, divided by the bust.
