Beschrijving voorzijde Helmeted and cuirassed facing bust of Emperor Justinian I, depicted in three-quarter view facing slightly right, wearing a plumed helmet adorned with a diadem and pendilia. The emperor is shown in elaborate military dress with a decorated cuirass, holding a spear over his right shoulder and a shield ornamented with a horseman motif in his left hand. The portrait is rendered in the formal hieratic style characteristic of early Byzantine coinage, emphasizing imperial authority rather than naturalistic portraiture. A dotted border encircles the design, with the Latin imperial legend distributed around the periphery of the field.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde Standing winged figure of Victory facing left, rendered in the classical tradition, draped in a long chiton and holding a long jewelled cross-on-globe staff in her right hand and a palm frond in her left. A star occupies the left field at mid-height. The exergue bears the mint control mark CONOB, denoting pure gold coinage struck at Constantinople, while the officina letter I appears in the reverse legend indicating the tenth officina of the Ravenna mint. The surrounding Latin legend proclaims the victory of the three Augusti, and a border of dots frames the entire design.
