Reverse description The emperor Honorius stands facing right in full military dress, his left foot placed upon the back of a bound captive prostrate on the ground, symbolizing Roman dominion over barbarian foes. In his right hand he grasps a labarum — the Christian imperial standard — while his left hand holds a Victory figure standing on a globe and facing left. The letters S-M appear divided across the fields to left and right of the emperor's figure. The exergual mintmark COMOB identifies the coin as struck in fine gold (obryzum) at Sirmium, and the encircling legend VICTOR-IA AVGGG proclaims the Victory of the three Augusti.
