| Opis rewersu | A cross potent on steps occupies the centre of the field, with the monogram letters G and R flanking the shaft of the cross, referencing Grimoald the prince. The surrounding legend, reading VICTORA PRINCIP G R CONOB, is distributed around the periphery within a beaded border, with CONOB appearing in the lower exergual area — the standard Byzantine mint mark denoting Constantinople-quality gold. The design closely follows Byzantine solidus prototypes, reflecting Benevento's cultural and monetary dependency on the Eastern Empire. |
