| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Emperor Gratian, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in high relief with fine Late Roman craftsmanship. The emperor's hair is elaborately coiffed in layered ridges with a prominent pearl diadem across the brow, and a pearl-studded fibula is visible at the right shoulder securing the paludamentum. The effigy displays the characteristic idealized portraiture of the Theodosian period, with strong facial features and a youthful countenance. The encircling Latin legend D N GRATIANVS P F AVG runs around the periphery of the field. A beaded border frames the entire design. |

| Reverse description | Two nimbate emperors seated facing on a shared throne, both figures rendered frontally in the hieratic style characteristic of late antique imperial coinage. The emperor to the right holds a mappa in his left hand, while both emperors jointly support a globe between them; their legs are draped in imperial robes. A winged Victory stands behind the throne, serving as a divine guarantor of imperial authority. A palm branch appears in the lower field beneath the throne. The mint mark is inscribed in the exergue, with the reverse legend VICTORIA AVGG distributed across the upper field. |
