| Reverse description | A cross potent on four steps occupies the central field, rendered in a flat, stylized manner typical of Lombard imitative coinage. To the left of the cross appears an inverted Beneventan monogram, and to the right a single letter, both serving as identifying marks of the Beneventan issuing authority. The entire design is enclosed within a circular Latin legend. In the exergue appears the mint control mark CONOB, imitating the standard Byzantine gold coinage convention. |
