Before her, a seated captive wearing a distinctive pointed cap raises both arms, conveying submission to Roman imperial power. The dynamic composition is typical of the Cyzicus mint's output during the mid-fourth century. The reverse legend VICTORIA - AVGVSTORVM XXV proclaims the victory of the emperors, and the mintmark SMKA in the exergue identifies the Cyzicus mint workshop. |
