Together they support an inscribed votive shield bearing the legend VOT XXXV MVLT XXXX, recording the thirty-fifth anniversary vows of the emperor and anticipating the fortieth. Palm branches flank the mintmark in the exergue, with the mark of the Sirmium mint. |
