Obverse description Right-facing diademed and draped bust of Emperor Constantius II, adorned with an elaborate pearl diadem tied with ribbons falling behind the neck. The emperor's hair is rendered in fine, closely set parallel striations swept back from the forehead, a hallmark of Late Roman imperial portraiture. The bust is bare-shouldered with a paludamentum (military cloak) visible at the truncation. The encircling Latin legend reads D N CONSTAN-TIVS P F AVG, identifying the emperor as Dominus Noster, Pius Felix Augustus.
