| Reverse description | Two seated figures of Roma and Constantinopolis, both draped and enthroned facing one another, jointly supporting between them a large wreath enclosing a votive inscription in four lines reading VOT / XXXV / MVLT / XXXX. Roma, on the left, holds a sceptre, while Constantinopolis, on the right, holds a cross-topped sceptre and rests her foot on a prow, symbolising naval dominion. The reverse legend GLORIA - REI - PVBLICAE is distributed around the field, and the mint mark SIRM appears in the exergue, denoting production at the Sirmium mint. |
